Summary of the Pillars of Islâm

1-            To believe in the Ilâh (God) who has the best (the most beautiful) names, attributes, affairs, deeds, actions, and laws articulated in the Qur'ân.
2-            To worship Allâh, the Ilâh who has the most beautiful names, articulated in the Qur'ân, (Striving to perform the rights of the divine names and attributes), (Striving to live according to the demands of the divine attributes).
3-            ikr of Allâh (To do all what is necessary to acquire the feeling of the divine omnipresence).
4-            To establish and develop a close and intimate relationship with Allâh and to work to support, strengthen, and consolidate this relationship, (To establish and develop a close link with Allâh and to do all what is necessary to strengthen this link).
5-            Believing in the Qur'ân as the final message and the perfect word of Allâh and working accordingly.
6-            To believe that the Prophet Muammad is the messenger of God and the seal of the Prophets and to work accordingly.
7-            To believe in the Ġayb mentioned in the Qur'ân and to live accordingly, (The Ġayb includes all what is beyond the scope of the human senses and perceptions).
8-            The Tazakkî; the cleansing, purification, enhancement, improvement, refinement and beautification of the human entity, (Self-cleansing + Self-purification + self-enhancement + self-improvement + self-refinement + self-beautification).
9-            Dealing with all the created entities according to the elements of true Islâm. In other words: Dealing with all the created entities according to the Islamic laws, values, morals, teachings, instructions, rulings, injunctions, commandments and orders of true Islâm.
10-        Avoiding major sins, misdeeds, shameful deeds, obscenity and all what is strongly prohibited by Islamic law. In other words: Avoiding major sins, misdeeds, immoralities (lewd actions, shameful deeds, and unlawful sexual intercourse), evil deeds and all what is prohibited by Islamic law.
11-        Performing the alât.
12-        Giving Az-Zakât.
13-        Spending in the way of Allâh.
14-        Performing righteous deeds.
15-        Call to Allâh. This implies enjoining the Ma3rûm (good) and forbidding the Munkar (what is evil).
16-        To use the mental faculties to consider and ponder on the cosmological, the psychological phenomena, and the history of the former nations in order to understand, perceive and comprehend the Divine cosmological laws.
17-        Jihâd in the way of Allâh.
18-        A-iyâm; Fasting.
19-        The ajj: Performing the Pilgrimage to Allâh’s Sacred House in Makkah.
